Karen Condon

Karen Condon received her MFA in creative writing at the University of Massachusetts, Amherst in 1993, and has written a novel and two short story collections. Her stories have appeared in The Iowa Review, Bottomfish Magazine, Sonora Review, Kansas Quarterly, Arkansas Review, Antigonish Review, and Fiddlehead. She wrote her novel Are You a Survivor during and after her treatment for breast cancer in 2001 and 2002. The title refers to a question she was asked at a breast cancer support group the day after her diagnosis. She lives in Springfield, Massachusetts. Are you a Survivor? will be released in December 2008.

Valerie Gaumont

Val has had short stories in the Violet Ampersand Anthology, Poetry, Prose and Other Voyages to the Edge, and the online Journal, Gothic Fairytales for Melancholy Children. In 2007 she was listed as a finalist in the William Faulkner International Writing Competition in the Novel-In-Progress category. As villainy is mostly an unpaid occupation, to pay for her flying monkey army Valerie works as an architectural historian. She has periodically moved around the country with very little rhyme or reason and currently lives in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. Christmas however usually finds her in Greenville, South Carolina being trampled by her brother’s dog and thinking up ways to convince her mother that every night should be lasagna night. Val's first published novel, Pilot, will be available in November 2008..

Erica Kennedy

Erica graduated from LSU with a degree in secondary education.  Today she enjoys reading, rollerblading, and bellydancing.  She’s been a proud participant of Nanowrimo since 2006, and the Baton Rouge Municipal Liaison since 2007. Erica's first published novel, Jane Bond and the Missing Romance Writer will be available from Brown Street Press in October 2008.
